Brennan's of Houston Host Foxen Wine Dinner

Next Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 7 pm, Brennan's of Houston welcomes Dick Doré, founder of the critically acclaimed Foxen Vineyard in Santa Maria, CA, for an exclusive five-course wine pairing dinner ($140*). Doré will collaborate with Brennan's of Houston's Sous Chef Jose Arevalo and new Wine Guy Marcus Gausepohl for a sensory pairing experience.
Doré and co-founder Bill Wathen have been making wine together since 1985 at the historic Rancho Tinaquaic in Northern Santa Barbara County. Their mission has always been to create small-production, sustainably farmed, vineyard-focused wines using a straightforward, minimalist winemaking approach.
A reception will commence at 6:30 pm, including a glass of sparkling.
Dinner will begin at 7 pm, featuring the following courses:
Citrus Salad with Creole-Poached Lobster | citrus herb vinaigrette and Campari tomatoes

Seared Scallop and Fennel | fennel cream and stone ground grits
2013 Chardonnay
Pan Fried Poussin wth Sturgeon Caviar | foie gras ganache, roasted vegetables, and a cherry brandy glaze
2013 Santa Maria Pinot Noir
Marble Ranch Grilled Wagyu | grilled wagyu flank steak with roasted mushrooms, tasso, and Marchand du Vin
2013 Black 8 Pinot Noir
